GALADRIEL, Swan 46

Winter 2002-3
"Galadriel" continues her long list of upgrades at JBY this winter also with a new teak deck, and freshly painted topsides.
Special attention was paid to the deck layout of this very successful racing Swan. After much deliberation, the halyard arrangement was kept fairly original, but other sail control hardware was replaced with new Harken gear.
Due to the age of the boat and the owner opting to Awlgrip in dark blue, JBY strongly recommended performing eighty hours of fairing and application of high build primer prior to starting the Awlgrip process to ensure a perfectly smooth finish. Additionally, with all the dark hulls painted at JBY, a clear coat was applied to bring out the true depth and shine that our paint department is famous for.
"GALADRIEL" has been awarded the Prix d'Elegance trophy from Nautor at the 2003 Swan American Regatta.
