BLACK TIE, Swan 47
We are all very saddened at JBY this year to see one of our most
treasured boats leave for a new homeport in England this spring.
Swan 47 "Black Tie" has been sold. She has always turned heads
with her gleaming Jet-Black hull, vast upgrades to her mechanical
systems, rigging, custom carpentry, mirror-like varnish, new
electronics, (the list goes on and on), while cruising New England,
the Caribbean, or even just on her mooring in Jamestown or at anchor
in Nantucket. She has been a mainstay at every Swan Regatta as far
back as we can all remember. Fortunately her new owner understands
the history and the standard that this particular yacht carries.
She is currently taking advantage of all service departments this
winter before she sails "across the pond" in May. Safe sailing
and best of luck to new owner and crew.
